Maison Gérard Burgaud
For four generations, the Burgaud family has specialized in duck farming—which is why they chose to settle in Challans, known as the “duck capital.” Today, Ingrid and Clarisse ensure that the birds are raised for exactly eight weeks under the watchful eye of the farmers. Fed a diet of grains, they grow up in a privileged environment, resulting in meat that is all the more flavorful.
